A Nevada judge denied O.J. Simpson’s a new trial Friday, according to Fox News.
Simpson and his co-defendant Clarence “C.J.” Stewart did not speak during the hearing, at which the judge also denied requests to release them on bail pending sentencing on December 5, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. PST.
Simpson and Stewart were convicted last month of kidnapping, armed robbery and assault with a deadly weapon – charges stemming from a robbery of two sports memorabilia dealers in a Las Vegas on September 13, 2007.
The Associated Press reports that both Simpson, 61, and Stewart, 54, are facing 5 years to life in prison on each of their two kidnapping convictions, as well as a mandatory sentence of at least 2 years or up to 30 years on each of the two armed robbery convictions.
