Ralph Macchio, who played Daniel LaRusso in the old Karate Kid movies, will not be making an appearance in the new The Karate Kid flick, OK! Magazine reports.
According to director Harald Zwart, Macchio is a great actor but it’s not the kind of movie where he could do a cameo.
The Karate Kid remake starring Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith (the son of actress/singer Jada Pinkett Smith and actor Will Smith) will be released in 2010.
What?! Never heard of this. Will it be a sequel to the series or a re-imagine of the story? Will it still star Mr. Miyagi?
I’m thinking Noriyuku will not be making an appearance as he’s dead, unfortunately. I’d like to have him for a dad.
