The Natasha Richardson tragedy has had a secondary impact. It appears that the actress turned down rental of a helmet that would have cost her just ten dollars.
The staff at the ski resort revealed that they deeply regret not doing more to persuade her to rent the helmet prior to her ski lesson.
The 45-year-old actress and star was taking a beginner’s ski lesson at Mont Tremblant in Quebec when she sustained a “blunt impact” to her head which led to internal bleeding and death.
A staff member told The Sun: “We are heartbroken that we didn’t do more to persuade her to wear one. A helmet would have cost her just ten dollars.”
The tragedy has prompted many to call for making helmets manadatory in canada.
