British actress Natasha Richardson, 45, is in critical condition after being injured in a skiing accident in Canada, the Associated Press reports.
Richardson, who is the wife of actor Liam Neeson, has reportedly suffered a serious head trauma. According to TMZ.com, the actress fell while taking a private lesson on a beginners trail at a ski resort in Quebec. After the fall she was reportedly both conscious and smiling, but about one hour later she started to complain of a headache and was taken to the hospital.
According to TMZ.com, Richardson is currently sedated and suffering from brain swelling, but the entertainment site states that she is not “brain dead” as some other online reports suggest.
After the accident, Neeson reportedly left Toronto where he was filming his upcoming movie “Chloe” and rushed to the hospital to be with his wife.
