Miss North Carolina Kristen Dalton, 22, was crowned Miss USA 2009 yesterday.
“This is my lifelong dream. I cannot believe it’s coming true,” Dalton said of her win.
Dalton’s prestigious title comes with one year’s use of an apartment in New York City, a two-year scholarship at the New York Film Academy as well as an unrevealed salary. She will also travel to Bahamas this summer to compete in the Miss Universe pageant.
