Mischa Barton to star in Melrose Place remake?

Actress Mischa Barton might return to TV sooner than we all thought. According to some online reports, the former O.C. star is in negotiations to join the cast of the Melrose Place remake.

The rumor has it that Davis Guggenheim (you know, the guy who won an Oscar for Al Gore’s documentary “An Inconvenient Truth”) will direct the show.

It is also said that the CW will start the production of a pilot episode of the new Melrose Place very soon…
