Animal activist group PETA’s is using “The Wrestler” star Mickey Rourke to get more people to spay and neuter their dogs. The new campaign is aimed at knocking out animal overpopulation.

The 52-year-old Golden Globe winner is known for being a dog lover. He even thanked all his dogs during his acceptance speech at Sunday’s Golden Globe Awards ceremony.

“When a man’s alone, sometimes all you got is your dog, and they meant the world to me,” he said.

By the way, the Chihuahua Rourke is holding in this ad, is his own little pooch, Jaws.
