Michael Douglas confirmed that he is already cancer-free following months of struggling the terminal stage of throat cancer plus enduring the exhaustive chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Michael added that he’s back and his tumor is gone. However, he also said he still needs to do things slowly for the next 2 to 3 months.
Michael stated that he needs to do a research with regards to whether the tumor must be identified by physicians in advance when he stated that he first discovered signs that something’s not right in January the previous year.
He said the doctors gave him some antibiotics after he went to the hospital in May and still nothing happened. Then he felt his tongue strangely and it bothered him a lot that made him said something really is wrong.
Michael then finally met a specialist in August who discovered something that grows below his tongue. They performed a biopsy that confirmed a cancerous tumor. Sadly, they discovered the cancer already progressed to stage 4.
Michael is nominated for Best Supporting Actor for a Golden Globe for his work in Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps. Michael planned to attend the awards on Sunday together with his wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones.
