Matt Dillon has reportedly entered a plea saying he is not guilty following his arrest for speeding last year, reports E! News.
Dillon was apparently caughtin Vermont(( ALLEGEDLY) driving at 106mph in a 65mph zone on December 30.
He was charged with careless and negligent operation of a vehicle.
Yesterday, his lawyer entered a plea of not guilty at Vermont District Court on his behalf.
Police documents filed stated that when he was stopped the 44-year-old admitted to making a mistake telling the approaching officer: “I screwed up, I know, I know.”
Dillon, who has appeared in Crash (a touch of the ironic there) and There’s Something About Mary, reportedly told police that he was rushing to meet a friend.
If convicted he could face up to one year in prison or a £722 fine.
Hm.. okay so now we’re curious– how can you be going 106 miles an hour and NOT be guilty of speeding.. new math??
