One of the world’s most famous twins, actress Mary-Kate Olsen, refuses to answer questions from the federal investigators who are looking into the accidental overdose that killed “Dark Knight” star Heath Ledger, unless she gets immunity from prosecution, according to The New York Post.
Nevertheless, the feds could force the actress to tell them everything they want to know about Ledger’s drug use by obtaining a subpoena from a grand jury, according to Fox News.
One source has told The Post that everybody has been very helpful except Mary-Kate Olsen, who has refused to speak. But according to Olsen’s lawyer, Michael C. Miller, his client has been cooperating with the authorities and is not hiding any information.
“Despite tabloid speculation, Mary-Kate Olsen had nothing whatsoever to do with the drugs found in Heath Ledger’s home or his body, and she does not know where he obtained them,” Miller said in a statement obtained by The New York Post.
Olsen and Ledger were good friends and she was in fact the first person called after his lifeless body was discovered in January.
