Literally thousands of people were scammed by a woman selling kits that she said would produce…. “magic cheese”.
Gilberte Van Erpe,who hails from France told her buyers that the kits would produce a magic cheese that was in very high demand from cosmetic companies who used it in expensive shampoos and moisturisers.
According to Metro, she charged around £280 for the product, which only had a market value of £2.80.
Amazingly.. a gullible get rich quick mentality of consumers bought into the scam and paid a very high price for an education.
Van Erpe, reportedly earned around £28 million from the scam.
