Madonna has confirmed that she is trying to adopt a second child from Malawi, but she ardently denies the reports that she is using her fame and considerable fortune to speed things along for herself.
In a statement, the singer confirmed all of the current speculation that she had traveled to Lilongwe to try to get custody of a four year old, named Chifundo ‘Mercy’ James, but she also dismissed the claims that she was using bullying tactics to fast-track the arrangements.
Her spokesperson said that the popstar is “following all required procedures and is waiting for the judge to hopefully grant adoption by Friday”.
(ahhh.. all the way til Friday. No fast tracking for her… We all KNOW that international adoptions are USUALLY done in less than a week in the country right?? RIGHT??
Does anyone else find something wrong with dumping a husband, dumping a couple boyfriends, and then diving in and adopting an unknown child all in the same six month time span. we’re not sure what her problem is, but we bet it’s hard to pronounce!!
