Madonna took time at her show to pay a tribute to two men who were killed after a stage collapsed during the construction of her ‘Sticky & Sweet’ tour set in Marseilles, reported Radar Online.
One French worker was killed immediately on Thursday. The second victim, believed to be British, died later in intensive care.
Speaking during her performance in Italy Madonna said: “Before I continue the show I just wanted to take a moment to acknowledge and pay tribute to two people who lost their lives today.
“You may have heard of it… When they were building my show in Marseilles, where we’re going next, we don’t know why, but one of the cranes fell…Two men lost their lives, it was a great tragedy to me.”
