Madonna might have lost her hubby, but she just gained something they told her she couldn’t have. The count in Malawi said she CAN take little Mercy home with her.
Originally as you recall… Malawi said no. the Madge could not adopt 3-year-old Chifundo “Mercy” James because she hadn’t spent enough time in Malawi — but they did however do an about face and have decided that decision was based on outdated laws.
The Material Girl released this statement through a representative on her behalf: “I am ecstatic … My family and I look forward to sharing our lives with her.”
So our question is.. she doesn’ t obviously know Mercy well.. so she’s not head over heels in love with her.. whats the deal? She just doesn’t like being told no?
