WENN reports that according to the Mirror, Madonnas appeal over the courts naysaying her adoption of another Malawi child will be denied.An official at the Malawi Supreme Court told The Mirror that Lovemore Munlo would not overturn last month’s negative ruling.
The source said: “Mr Munlo is no fool and is keen to show that Malawi law is not to be messed with.
“It is certain this case will be thrown out when it is heard by the learned judge.”
James Kambewa, the father of the child, told the newspaper that he had met the girl’s maternal family and hoped that they could cooperate to win custody of the girl.In His words, “Everyone was emotional when the two families met but we both want the best for Mercy – and I am sure she should be with us and not Madonna.
So wait.. let us get this straight.. she has a mother and a father.. who want her, and Madonna is trying to bludgeon her way into an adoption.. Sound odd to anyone but us?
There are so many orphans in the world, why doesn’t Madonna try to adopt one of them? Why is she trying so hard to adopt a child who already has a family and whose parents really want their kid to stay with them? I don’t get it!
I agree, but don’t you think its just “cooler” and more noteworthy if she adopts from an African nation or a third world country, or somewhere very poor, as opposed to adopting from the USA or Germany or something like that.. It doesn’t have quite the “she’s a savior” ring to it when you adopt one of the millions of kids who AREN’T from those countries looking for a home.
I think the same thing about Jolie-Pitt. Adopting from foreign countries has a much bigger public relations value to it than adopting a kid from Missouri.
