A group of film folks in Australia have reportedly been charged with public nuisance after the locals got the daylights scared out of them.
A group of terrified residents mistook a fictional gun fight for the real thing. Police there had even cordoned off streets of Melbourne after receiving reports of a man with a gun, claims The Melbourne Herald Sun.
A spokesman for the local force said: “Police went to the apartment block on Canning Street and saw a man pointing a firearm at the head of another. The area was cordoned off and even the critical incident response team was called in to arrest those involved.”
Senior Sergeant Stephen Cooper said the filmmakers should have obtained a permit and notified local residents.
The four men, all in their 20s, face charges of public nuisance and possessing a firearm, which includes imitation weapons.
