Lizzo drunkenly sent Chris Evans a message on Instagram and not long after he replied.
Shooting Her Shot
The “Truth Hurts” singer revealed in a TikTok video that she had sent the “Captain America” star a message on Instagram to indicate that she was shooting her shot: a wind-blowing emoji, an athlete emoji and a basketball emoji.
In the clip, she lip syncs to audio from TikTok personality Tatayanna Mitchell, which says, “I know I’m not gonna be able to marry him, and honestly it hurts me to the core, because damn papa, he a rare breed.”
“Don’t drink and DM, kids,” she jokingly advises her followers in the caption of the video. “For legal porpoises (sic) this is a joke.”
It only took one day for Evans to respond, which Lizzo reacted to in a follow-up TikTok.
She confirmed that “The Knives Out” star had followed her back and sent her a message in response. “No shame in a drunk DM,” he wrote to her, accompanied by a kiss emoji. “God knows I’ve done worse on this app lol.”
Lizzo’s New Show
In other news, Lizzo revealed last month that she is making a TV show with Amazon where she will search for “full-figured” models and dancers.
The show’s official description reads:
“Are you ready to step into your power and change the world? Here’s your chance to twerk it out on world stages and stomp it out on the runway for the adventure of a lifetime. Come as you are and be sure to bring good energy – and that ass.”
The as-yet-untitled series is the first project under Lizzo’s deal with Amazon Studios that was announced last year. “I can’t wait to get started and share my vision with the world,” the star commented at the time.
