On Friday the case of Lindsay Lohan and the stolen necklace saw Lindsay back in court to receive her sentence. Lindsay has been sentenced to 120 days in jail and 480 hours of community service as she was found to be in violation of her probation and she was ordered to stand trial. On top of that prosecutors have vowed to fight the reduction of the theft charge.
“She is fine,” producer Nathan Folks and friend of Lohan told People. “Obviously, she is upset about [being sentenced to four months in jail].”
Lohan was arrested after Judge Stephanie Sautner ruled she had violated the probation of her felony grand theft case, in which a Los Angeles-area jewelry store, Kamofie & Co., claimed the actress stole a necklace worth $2,500.
“She is angry because she has been working so hard on turning her life around,” Folks continued. “She didn’t do what they said she did. She didn’t steal that necklace”
Lohan’s team reportedly scrambled for a few hours then $75,000 bail was posted and then for the time being she is a free woman. The next step and her next appearance in court will be for her attorney’s appeal of today’s ruling.
