A few days ago, Lindsay Lohan’s SCRAM bracelet detected the presence of alcohol. It wasn’t much but enough to land her into some trouble. Lohan, initially denied that the SCRAM device went off but there was footage of her taking a swig of alcohol on the night of the MTV Movie Awards. It has later been confirmed that indeed she had consumed an alcoholic beverage.
This little discretion cost her an additional $10,000. Her bail increased from $100,000 to $200,000. Though it doubled, Lohan only has to pay 10% in order to stay out of jail. Therefore, instead of forking over $10,000 (10% of $100,000), she has to pay $20,000. Any additional drink will cost an extra $10,000. That would, thus, be a pretty expensive Red Bull and Vodka.
There is one bright side to the arrangement. Lohan can’t have her bail revoked or be thrown in jail. This is because her crime was only a misdemeanor. As long as Lohan can come up with the money to pay her bails bondsman, she can stay out of jail.
Here’s to Lindsay getting her life back. Her situation is starting to become quite sad and very desperate.
