It not just us ordinary people – Lily Allen is feeling the effects of the economic crisis too!
According to WENN, the pop star recently admitted that she has spent all of her royalty payments from her first album on shopping sprees and a fancy sports car and that she now is completely broke. She has also revealed that she even had to sell her $50,000 BMW to help pay her debts.
“I’ve been hit big time by the credit crunch. Actually, I’ve just had to sell my car because I’m so broke. I bought a car last year and that was probably my biggest extravagance. Clothes, too. I’m always buying clothes. I’m completely skint,” Allen is quoted as saying by the entertainment network.
Allen is currently waiting for the royalties from her new album… Hopefully, she will spend that money more wisely.
