At the beginning of July Nicole Scherzinger and Lewis Hamilton announced that they were to end their five year relationship, a break up that left Nicole heartbroken. If comments made by Hamilton yesterday are anything to go by the couple could be getting back together sooner rather than later.
Formula 1 driver Hamilton was in Hungary yesterday driving to his maiden win for his new team Mercedes, and in a post race interview with Sky TV he was clearly very emotional when he dedicated his latest win to his former girlfriend. He said, “Yes, it has been the toughest couple of months of my life. Coming into the race, my parents were concerned and just wanted to try to lift my spirits. When I go home all the emotion comes back. but I just have to find a way to deal with it. Wins like this are like a bandage.”
Hamilton went on to say, “It feels a little bit odd without that someone here, but I would say now that these are one of those races you want to dedicate to that someone. The thought on my mind through the whole race was of someone who is special to me and I wanted to dedicate it to her.”
Only time will tell if the pair get back together, but if the words from Lewis Hamilton are anything to go by that reconciliation could be sooner rather than later.
