Ledgers Final Movie May Not Get U.S. Release

Heath Ledger’s final film may not see the light of day in the US, Entertainment Weekly says.

Ledger was about half way through the shooting of  The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus with Terry Gilliam when he died just over a year ago.

When the project was threatened with closure, Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell stepped in to play different versions of Ledger’s character Tony.

Despite securing distribution in the UK with Lionsgate,  executives in the US are reluctant to snap up the rights.

“The script isn’t a slam dunk,” said one Hollywood executive. “Having Heath in it is appealing. But I’m waiting to see the movie.”
