Three months have passed since Cory Monteith was found dead in his hotel room, and now his co-star and girlfriend Lea Michele feels the time is right to open up about their relationship.
Michele, 27, was speaking to Australia’s TV Week Magazine about her loss and said, “I feel like, for me personally, I’ve lost two people: Cory and Finn.” A special tribute episode to Corey, and his character in Glee Finn Hudson, will be shown in America this evening, and Michele spoke about it to the magazine. She said, “I haven’t seen it yet, but we did it because it was something we all needed to do together.”
She went on to say, “We had a beautiful memorial for Cory in the auditorium, and some of the cast members sang and people spoke about him. It only felt right that we would do the same thing for Finn, so I felt it was very therapeutic.”
Lea Michele has gone through a really though three months and was asked how returning to Glee effected her. She replied, “Everyone is asking: ‘Is it hard to do this Is it hard to be back at work?’ But the truth is, it’s no harder at work than it is in life, so we might as well all be together as a family supporting each other to get through this together.”
People do move on, but they also never forget and Corey Monteith and his character Finn Hudson will certainly be engrained in Lea Michele’s heart and mind for the remainder of her life.
