The UK Group PAPYRUS just isn’t all that impressed with Lady Gaga.. Her MTV Video Music Awards performance sent out an “irresponsible” message to her young fans, so they say.
The singer–best described as eccentric, and worst being called “just plain weird” appeared to bleed out onstage after ‘stabbing’ herself as she performed at Sunday night’s event. In the climax GaGa appeared lifeless dangling from a rope. NOT SO COOL particularly when taking place during whats being called the “Summer of Death”
UK organisation PAPYRUS,a suicide prevention group that revolves around young people and promotes awareness of mental health issues, was completely unimpressed with her actions.
A spokesman told the Daily Star: “This act is not cool – sensationalising and romanticising suicide is irresponsible.
“Celebrities, who are often idolised by young people, need to be more aware of the impact that such acts can have on vulnerable young people.”
