Lady Gaga is the latest in a string of celebrities to speak out in defense of Rebecca Black and her song “Friday”. YouTube sensation Rebecca Black and her debut song “Friday” has suffered a major backlash across the Internet. Both Black and her song are the brunt of much ridicule, despite the songs incredible success on YouTube. Now Lady Gaga has gone right out on a limb and declared that Rebecca Black is a genius;
“I say Rebecca Black is a genius and that anybody telling her she’s cheesy is full of s**t”
Gaga made the statement whilst chatting to the tech geeks at a “Google Goes Gaga” Q&A session.
Apparently this is part of Lady Gaga’s stance against bullying, as it’s been reported that Black has felt “cyber-bullied” by all the negative reviews from her online critics. Simon Cowell has also spoken out and given Rebecca Black his stamp of approval by calling her song “Brilliant”.
