Kim Kardashian Hits Forbes 2017 Top-Earning List as Youngest TV Celebrity

Forbes has recently released their annual list of top-earning TV celebrities and Kim Kardashian West has taken out the tittle of the youngest celebrity in the top ten with a whopping $45.5 million.

Annual earnings include income from additional activities such as producing, non-TV performances, endorsements and merchandising according to Forbes.

Kim Kardashian Business

The 36-year old TV personality pulled in this very jaw-dropping sum from her work with Keeping up With the Kardashians and her other side projects. Kim has her own television production company, DASH clothing boutiques with her sisters Khloe and Kourtney, the Kimoji app, a lipstick collection with her sister Kylie Jenner and a mobile game for iPhone called Kim Kardashian: Hollywood.

Kim was a victim of a robbery in Paris on October 2016 while attending Paris Fashion Week, when five thieves, dressed as police officers, put a gun to her head, tied her and stole $10 million worth jewellery. She suffered a really traumatic experience and stayed out of the spotlight for longer than a month. Due to this social media blackout and cancellation of many public appearances and promotions, her earnings dropped $5.5 million from her total earnings in 2016. But Kim is able to leverage her television success and expand elsewhere, recently launching a kids clothing line with her rapper husband Kanye West and with her first fragrance set to hit the shelves later this year.

On June 21, she released her new makeup line, KKW Beauty that sold out in minutes. The highly anticipated Crème Contour & Highlight Kit went fast, with 300.000 kits of $48 amassing $14.4 million. It seems everything Kim touches, turns into gold.

“This year has been really exciting for me because it’s the first time I’ve moved away from having licensing deals and transitioned into being an owner,” Kim said backstage at the Forbes Women’s Summit recently.

“After 10 years of getting my makeup done every single day, I’ve really put that knowledge into action and production.”

Forbes’ List

The first man on the list is as expected, the 66-year-old Dr Phillip McGraw with a mind-blowing $79 million from his talk show Dr. Phil.
