Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock are engaged to be married, but because they have become “overwhelmed” by all the preparations they are now planning to elope instead, and get married with just Brandon’s two children in attendance.
Kelly, 31, has been speaking to People.com about her forthcoming wedding to Brandon. She said, “We are so busy that we finally just came to terms the other night and were like, ‘So, we change our minds and we want to elope.’ We just got so overwhelmed by it – all the decisions.”
Kelly sent a card to all the previously invited guests explaining the decision to call off the wedding, and she also added the following, “It’s just going to be me and Brandon and his two kids and the minister.”
Weddings are stressful at the best of times, but when you are famous and people start to get wind of your plans it must become even harder. Going away to get married with just your partner and his children is a lot less stressful, but it is also a lot cheaper too!
