Katie Holmes has reportedly spent more than 10 million since moving to New York six months ago.
The actress and her two-year-old daughter Suri relocated to the city last July after Holmes landed a starring role in the Broadway revival of Arthur Miller’s All My Sons.
They live in a luxury Manhattan apartment, owned by Holmes’s husband Tom Cruise, and have enjoyed shopping sprees, dining at top restaurants and first-class entertainment.
The New York Post’s Page Six column estimates that, taking account of reported property purchases, Holmes has spent more than $14 million in six months.
“While ordinary city dwellers are cutting back, Mrs Cruise has been valiantly doing her bit to boost our economy,” the magazine said.
“We tally up a conservative estimate of her 24-week NYC spending spree, and crown her Manhattan’s Most Valued Shopper.”
The publication claims that the star has spent over 5,000 on dining, 11,700 on designer shopping, 4,800 installing gym equipment, 3,745 on cultural activities and 9,600 on childcare.
Now THATS what we call lifestyles of the rich and famous.
