Julianne Hough has got it going right for her. After her role in the musical movie “Rock of Ages”, she has work piled up for her. Following the musical is yet another project, a romantic comedy written by Diablo Cody.
The 24-year old actress is set to play a role in a romantic dramedy “Time and a Half” written by Cody. Directing the movie will be Ol Parker who also wrote the film “The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel”.
Hough will be playing a girl who had recently graduated from college and works as a temp at a trophy store. She happens to bump into her sister’s high school boyfriend, whom she had a one-night stand with.
This movie will be Hough’s second collaboration with Cody who also penned “Juno”. They first worked together in Diablo’s untitled directorial debut, which they have just recently wrapped up. She starred in the movie alongside Octavia Spencer, Russell Brand and Holly Hunter.
Hough will also star in a movie adaptation of a Nicholas Sparks novel, “Safe Haven”. She’s currently filming the movie with Josh Duhamel and Cobie Smulders. No release date has been announced.
Julianne Hough rose to fame when she won two seasons of ABC’s hit series, “Dancing With The Stars”. Her first movie role was in a remake of the 80s movie, Footlose, which was released last year. She’s also an accomplished country singer with her self-titled album reaching No. 1 in the US country music charts.
