Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas have recently welcomed their first child.
Welcoming a Baby Girl
TMZ first reported that Turner had given birth to the couple’s first child, a baby girl, at a hospital in Los Angeles last Wednesday, July 22nd. According to the outlet, the couple has named their daughter Willa.
A statement from a representative for the Game of Thrones star and Jonas Brothers band member shared Monday said: “Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas are delighted to announce the birth of their baby.”
However, the new parents did not release any other information.
Laying Low
The 24-year-old Turner and 30-year-old Jonas never officially announced that Turner was pregnant when it was first reported in February. However, photos of the actress over past months have shown her with a pregnant stomach.
In April, Turner opened up about quarantining with her husband in California.
“Everything seems to be working in my favor here because Joe’s a real social butterfly so I struggle to lock him down and have him just spend time with me so it’s like a prison for him [being in quarantine], but it’s great for me,” she told the host, adding that it has been easy for her to stay home because she is “an introvert”.
“If I could stay at home all day, I would so this is great for me,” she continued. “I leave the house once a day anyway to walk my dogs and then that’s it so. I see how people are finding it difficult, but I don’t understand how people are really struggling to practice social distancing. I’m like all you have to do is stay at home and like get drunk at home, right?”
The couple married last year in two ceremonies – a surprise one in Las Vegas in May 2019, and a month later, had a second one in France surrounded by their loved ones.
