Jill and Derick are doing just fine after the birth of baby Israel.
While the news of the couple having a baby so soon after getting married sweeps the nation, so many people are wondering how they are doing now that the baby has arrived. After being in labor for days, and needing an emergency C-section due to baby Israel turning into a breech position, everything was a bit scary for the first time parents but they took it in stride and made sure to stay strong throughout the entire ordeal.
Her due date was March 26, and baby Israel didn’t come until April 6, but Jill didn’t become discouraged about the fact that he was late, since a lot of women experience later births compared to their due dates. They figured everything was going fine. They originally wanted to birth at home, but when Jill’s water broke and nothing happened for quite some time, then the idea to move to the hospital came around because what if something was happening. Also, with her water being broke and left for some time, this could lead to infection.
As much as his birth did not go as planned or expected, the new parents said that they wouldn’t have done anything differently about it. They have him, everyone is healthy and they made the right choice for both mom and baby to do what they did. It was an empowering moment for all involved, and it was one that said so much, without having to say anything at all.
Now the couple are home with their new baby, and couldn’t be happier. They are ready for more kids, and are glad to take on the responsibility of a little one. Watching him sleep, eat and grow are some of the simple pleasures that they take in every day. There is a lot that they have to learn, but she says she learned a lot from taking care of some of her siblings, and also some of the things her mom has taught her throughout the years.
She is blessed, he feels they are blessed and they are happy with the outcome of the little baby that was born, that filled her heart and their family with happiness and joy. Welcome baby Israel!
