Jerry Springer is quitting his job as the host of NBC’s “America’s Got Talent,” according to Reuters.
Springer is reportedly leaving the show to focus on his syndicated talk show and on a summer theater production.
“I’ve had a wonderful time serving as host on ‘America’s Got Talent,'” Springer is quoted as saying by The Hollywood Reporter. “These last two seasons, working with everyone associated with the show and all the extraordinary and talented performers across America, has been an incredibly rewarding experience for me. This summer, I will be pursuing a wonderful opportunity in the theatre.”
NBC has not yet revealed who will take over as host.
