She was reported to have received $500,000 from the first movie, which was based on the best-selling novel written by Suzanne Collins. “The Hunger Games” was the first movie in a trilogy of books written by Collins. Due to the success of the first film, it was reported that Lawrence’s contract was renegotiated to reprise her role in the first film.
Co-stars Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson also had their contracts renegotiated for the sequel. But it was reported that their pays would be smaller than Lawrence’s. Shooting of the new movie will begin during this fall and the movie is set to show on November 22 of next year.
