The Tonight Show host Jay Leno is set to appear in Detroit at the Palace of Auburn Hills on April 7 for a night of free entertainment with Detroit’s unemployed workers, NBC.com reports.
The famous talk show host said on his show Monday that his performance will be “for anybody out of work in Detroit”. People only have to say they are unemployed to get tickets to the event, and refreshments and parking will also be free.
Michigan’s unemployment rate is among the highest in the nation. It was over 11 percent in January 2009, according to the Associated Press.
