This must be a great year for Spanish actor and Oscar winner Javier Bardem because not only was he part of a top-grossing Bond movie, but he has also received his star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame this year. He was joined by the latest Bond girls Berenice Marlohe and Naomie Harris as he received his star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame on Thursday.
Bardem is the 2,484th showbiz personality to receive a star. He has recently played villain in the new James Bond film, “Skyfall” alongside Daniel Craig. Movie director Sam Mendes was also there to support the actor during the unveiling of his star. The movie itself was a massive hit before it even opened in U.S. theaters. It has raked in a lot of positive reviews including one that said Bardem has played the “best Bond villain of all time”.
The actor is also a big fan of the movie franchise. He was honored to be part of the movie especially one that celebrated 50 years of the world’s longest running film franchises. Perhaps joining the cast of was definitely not a bad idea for the actor.
However, the actor’s wife Penelope Cruz was not at the ceremony. She was busy promoting her new film Twice Born and was in Rome during the event. It was nothing new to the press as the couple was rarely seen in public together.
