Jason Momoa doesn’t want his own children following in his footsteps.
His Advice Is Stay Away From This Career
The Aquaman star is opening up about how he’s hesitant to think about his two kids, daughter Lola and son Nakoa-Wolf, whom he shares with wife Lisa Bonet, going into show business.
Momoa admitted in a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight that one of his children is actually thinking about it, too.
“I’m not a fan,” he truthfully admits. “I don’t want them to.”
He confessed he was hesitant to encourage their ambition.
“I don’t know. I’ll try my damnedest to keep ‘em out of it,” he shared. “I love storytelling, I love theatrical things, I like directing and filmmaking, but I just want them to, you know, really to go for other things.”
The 42-year-old actor added, “If they [really] want to, maybe, but I don’t want them to get into acting. It’s very hard on people and I don’t want them to have that pressure. I’m tough, I can handle it, but I wouldn’t want to put someone I love [through] that.”
The Shower Debate
Earlier this week, Momoa gave his two cents on the whole celebrity showering debate.
His Sweet Girl co-star Isabela Merced said in a new interview that he doesn’t take showers. Merced was asked if she ever tried to steal one of Jason‘s scrunchies and she said, “No! He was saying something like, ‘I don’t shower,’ and I was like, ‘I’m not touching those scrunchies.’”
The Access Hollywood reporter then brought up how the showering habits of celebrities has become a big trend in the news after several celebs mentioned they bathe infrequently.
Jason responded, “I’m not starting any trends, I shower, trust me, I shower, I’m Aquaman, I’m in the f***ing water, don’t worry about it. I’m Hawaiian, we got saltwater on me, we good.”
