Jared Leto Goes Back Into Acting

Jared Leto Goes Back Into Acting Before becoming the frontman of 30 Seconds to Mars, Jared Leto started as a teen actor who made young girls’ hearts skip a beat, and he still does that up to this day. His acting chops will be put to use once again as he will soon be playing the role of a flamboyant cross-dresser in a movie alongside Matthew McConaughey and Jennifer Garner.

Canadian director Jean-Marc Vallee will be directing their new movie, “The Dallas Buyer’s Club”, which is centered on AIDS and is inspired by real events. They will begin shooting in New Orleans next week. Leto will be playing the role of a cross-dresser with HIV who would help Ron Woodroof, McConaughey’s character. Gael Garcia Bernal was rumored to be considered for the role, but the producers never got to the stage of negotiating the deal.

The movie centers on McConaughey’s character, an electrician from Texas diagnosed with AIDS and had only six months to live. His character then begins to smuggle alternative drugs for AIDs into the US to help his treatment as well as other patients.

It has been three years since Leto’s last movie, which gave him time to concentrate on music and touring with the band. He has worked on many movies such as “Fight Club”, “Panic Room” and “Urban Legend”. His last movie was “Mr. Nobody”, which was released in 2009.
