Ryan Dunn, co-star and stuntman from the ‘Jackass’ series was killed in a car crash yesterday. The Porsche he was driving was found engulfed in flames in a wooded area on the outskirts of Philadelphia.
Dunn had a passenger in the car, Zachary Hartwell, who also died in the crash. Hartwell was a friend of Jackass stars Johnny Knoxville and Bam Margera and he worked as a production assistant on Jackass Number Two.
Dunn was only 34 years old, he was born in Ohio and on his Twitter profile he described himself as a “TV personality, movie star, automotive enthusiast.”
Reports are suggesting that alcohol may have contributed to the cause of the crash as just a few hours before the crash Dunn had posted a picture on Twitter of himself drinking with friends. Although the official cause won’t be determined until results of the autopsy and toxicology tests are complete.
