Heather Locklear’s DUI case dismissed

Former “Melrose Place” star Heather Locklear got her DUI case dismissed today. In exchange, she pleaded no contest to reckless driving – a misdemeanor.

According to, she will be placed on three years informal probation. The actress will also have to attend a 12-hour drug education program and pay a $700 fine.

Locklear was arrested in Montecito, CA, on September 27, 2008, and booked on charges of driving under the influence of drugs and being under the influence of a controlled substance after a “journalist” called 911, claiming that the actress was “driving erratically.”

A blood test later revealed that the Locklear had prescription medication in her system, but no alcohol or illegal narcotics.
