Nine long years after her much publicized split up with the rock star Rod Steward, his ex, Rachel Hunter is ready to take the plunge.
Although she and the Rod didn’t actively divorce until just two years ago, although they’ve been leading separate lives for nearly four times that.
Todays announcement by Ms Hunters publicist confirms her engagement and forthcoming nuptials to Cougars hockey player, Jarret Stoll.
The athlete, about 12 years her junior, apparently popped the question in a seriously romantic way, according to Stoll, who didnt’ divulge any details, just said his proposal had been, “a romantic one”.
The couple is currently vacationing in Hunters native country, New Zealand, with one of her children with Rod Steward, Liam.
No date has yet been set for the wedding according to the couple.
Hunters manager, fellow New Zealander, Andy Hayden, told a local television station, 3 News, that they are “all delighted for her”.
