Guy Ritchie has, according to Digital Spy, barred Madonna from staying overnight on Christmas Day at the Wiltshire mansion the pair used to share.
He did unbend so far as to agree to permit Madonna to come to the home with their children but stopped short of allowing her to sleep there, the Sun reports.
“Guy is desperate to see the children on Christmas Day and was OK with them all spending the day at Ashcombe,” a source told the newspaper.
“He was even willing to have Madonna there and try to be civilised for the sake of the children. But having her stay over was just too much. He couldn’t bear the thought of her padding round the kitchen next morning like old times …
Madonna was due in the UK after finishing up a leg of her South American tour.
