Gerard Depardieu’s son Guillaume, an acclaimed actor in his own right, has died this morning, just 37 years of age.
Officials from his hospital confirmed to The Associated Press that the French actor had suffered complications linkedfrom a sudden onset case of pneumonia.
The rising young star of Les Apprentis was transported to the Raymond-Poincare de Garches hospital in the western suburbs of Paris on Sunday night.
Depardieu won the prize for the most promising young actor at the Cesar awards in 1996.
His father, Gerard is well known for his portrayals in Green Card, Cyrano de Bergerac and several other films.
