Guiding Light, the longest running scripted series in the world, taped its last episode.
The cast and crew of Guiding Light have taped the final scenes of the legendary soap.
In April, CBS had stated that it was going to cancel the world’s longest-running scripted series after 72 years.
Through a post that showedon his Twitter page, series star Frank Dicopoulos – who plays Frank Cooper – said: “It’s here, the final day of taping. We thought it was going to rain and prolong things an extra day. No rain, just heat. This is it.”
The final episode of Guiding Light will air Friday, September 18.
