Fame just isn’t all its cracked up to be lately..
Frasier star Kelsey Grammer has revealed that he is receiving death threats because of his political and religious beliefs.
The actor, a Republican is being quoted by the Press Association as saying: “I’ve had death threats, stuff like that – mostly for my political views. They say ‘I should kill you’.”
Grammer recalled getting a letter from someone who fiercely objected to his religion, always controversial due to their hard line stance on homosexuality and abortion.
“I do think people are entitled to different opinions but one of them was really adamant about it,” said Grammer. ..” I’m a Christian Scientist but I’m not a full-blown practicing one. I actually visit doctors and I do take medication.
“But a lot of the principles of my approach to faith are rooted in that, which is pretty much mind over matter – if you want to reduce it to one thing.”
Grammer, who is appearing as a Republican president in Kevin Costner’s new film Swing Vote, doesn’t seem to have let it keep him out of the theater..
