Last week we brought you the news that George Clooney was all set to marry his fiancée Amal Alamuddin at Highclere Castle, home to the ITV1 drama Downton Abbey, but because Katie Price married Peter Andre at Highclere in 2005 Amal is not so keen on tying the knot at the same venue.
Amal fell in love with Highclere Castle on a recent visit with her husband to be, but she has since discovered that Katie Price married Peter Andre in 2005. A source revealed all about the change of heart to The Sun Newspaper as they said, “Amal doesn’t really know that much about celebrity. But she is well aware who Katie Price is and didn’t want her big day to be in any way associated with that kind of media circus. So they’ve gone back to the drawing board and are looking at other places.”
So there will be no dream wedding at Highclere Castle for George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin, but no doubt they will have plenty of other venues to choose from, venues like George’s home in Lake Como for instance.
