Scott Baio has reportedly contacted the police after receiving death threats on Twitter. Apparently there are too many people out there who associate a negative comment with racism. The former Happy Days star was the subject of numerous ultimatums after he insulted Michelle Obama on the social networking site.

E! News reported that Scott posted a rather unflattering photograph of the First Lady, adding: “WOW He wakes up to this every morning.”

Baio apparently soon received several messages including death threats and accusations of racism.

He posted: “PLEASE NOTE: The FBI has been contacted & we have a file number for the threats, along with twitter support. Thx (sic).”

Meanwhile, the actor tried to defend himself, writing: “People need to relax and laugh a bit. Life is too short no matter what party you are with. A joke is just that, a joke.”"One bad picture of a woman & everyone wants to bash me?” he wrote. “If it had been of Palin ppl would have prob cheered.

We tend to agree. Isn’t it possible the Mrs Obama can have a bad hair day too?
