At the young age of 21 Emma Watson is gracing the cover of Vogue magazine’s July 2011 issue. Watson is photographed in Paris by Mario Testino; on the cover the actress is wearing Prada and for the photo shoot inside she is wearing designs by Tom Ford, Alexander McQueen, Prada, Calvin Klein and Dolce & Gabbana.
As the former face of Burberry Watson is no stranger to the fashion world, she has also recently been signed by Lancome cosmetics.
Inside the issue the actress is interviewed by Lisa Armstrong, she discusses her time with the Harry Potter series, revealing that she is actually a lot like Hermione, her character from the Potter films;
“Hermione is so close to who I am as a person that I’ve never really had to research a role. I’m literally rediscovering what it means to be an actress.”
Watson also talks about her interest in fashion design and about her realization that she can help to expose young British designers by wearing their designs;
“I thought, If people are going to write about what I’m wearing, then I would wear young British designers who need the publicity.”
We’re really starting to understand why Watson decided she didn’t have time for both university and her career at this stage.
