Rapper/actor DMX , whose real name is Earl Simmons, was released from the Maricopa County Jail in Arizona yesterday after serving 90 days in the slammer, E! Online reports.
DMX was sentenced to jail after he made a deal with prosecutors on a whole bunch of charges. In the end he pleaded guilty to theft, drug possession, and last but certainly not least: animal cruelty.
To get released, the 38-year-old reportedly had to pay a $10,000 bond because he was booked for aggravated assault after allegedly throwing a tray of food at one of the corrections officers during his time in jail.
If he gets convicted of the assault, he could face more time behind bars in addition to having his probation revoked…
