About 24 hours after the Maricopa County Sheriff’s office offered a $5,000 reward for his capture, rapper DMX was arrested in Florida on a warrant issued by an Arizona judge after he failed to show up for a hearing last Friday in an animal-cruelty case.
FBI agents (!) arrested the rapper at the famous record producer Scott Storch’s mansion on Palm Island outside Miami Beach, after receiving information from agents in Phoenix and the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, E! Online reports.
DMX is currently held at the Miami-Dade County jail awaiting extradition. He will be returned to Phoenix, where bond is set at $120,000.
The 37-year-old rapper is facing charges of felony drug possession and seven misdemeanor counts of animal cruelty for allegedly mistreating five pitbull puppies at his residence outside of Phoenix.
This is certainly not the first time DMX has been in trouble with the law. If we counted correctly, he has now been arrested seven times this year alone. At one point, he was even arrested twice in one week!
We guess Santa won’t be visiting him this year…
Enough is enough. Lock him up for good and make him do some hard time & real work for a change. Who knows? Maybe, just maybe he’ll learn a lesson or two. Just because he thinks he’s a celeb doesn’t mean he doesn’t have to play by the same rules everyone else does!
Couldn’t agree more! I wonder what he really did to those puppies.
