The British tabloid The Daily Mail claims that “Californication” star David Duchovny and his wife, actress Téa Leoni, separated not because Duchovny is a recovering sex addict, but because he discovered explicit text messages on her cell phone sent by Angelina Jolie’s ex, Billy Bob Thornton.
Thought those text messages, Duchovny reportedly found out that Leoni were having an affair with Thornton.
However, Thornton’s publicist Arnold Robinson has told E! News that the allegations of an extramarital affair and the rumors about the text messages are all false. “Billy Bob Thornton and Téa Leoni are just friends,” he said.
Thornton and Leoni met while filming the comedy “Manure” earlier this year.
